Lafayette Cruise is currently pursuing a Masters in City Planning at MIT. Prior to his graduate studies he worked as an analyst for the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP). His work focused on traffic forecasting, transportation model development, data analysis, and demographic research.
Lafayette grew up in Racine, Wisconsin and studied Social Policy at Northwestern University. He worked for CMAP as a Public Interest Fellow before being hired on as a research analyst. His interests are in the realm of asset-based community development for the purpose of intentional economic and racial integration.
